| The Group is providing support to its members and to the broad industrial community in Europe relative to the European (EU) Environmental Liability Directive (ELD) and associated EU policies because the Directive is based on analogous US laws with which this Group has extensive experience. The Group has reached out to key Brussels-based industry associations as well as key business and industry associations in most Member States. The Group has prepared and collected over 30 English translations of various final and draft ELD laws and related guidance documents. The Group has also been designated as a liaison to industry relative to the Member State Expert meetings convened by the European Commission. |
