Industrial company membership is open to small, mid cap and large companies -- in all industrial sectors -- based in the US, Europe and other locations worldwide. Participation as a Member Company of the Group affords a broad range of benefits, including: continuous communications via email and web; extensive database resources; opportunities for dialogue and practice exchange with other companies and a wide set of experts and entities relative to natural resource damage and restoration ("remediation" in Europe) matters. Member Companies have included companies like U.S. Steel; Chevron; National Grid; GM; Boeing; Rio Tinto; Dupont; ENI, S.p.A.; GE; ExxonMobil; and many others.
Benefits of Participation
Companies participating in the Group (many continuously since the Group’s founding in 1988) view membership to be well-worth the modest investment. They find that membership provides an easy and efficient way to access “quick intelligence” and stay on top of natural resource and environmental damage liability, assessment, restoration, policy and practice issues -- whether or not a company has active sites or cases. Member Companies with active cases are better able to deal with site-specific matters as they arise. Member Companies with no active cases are often able to avert or ameliorate the effects of claims. There is a strong camaraderie among Group members because of the singularity of objective and focus. Further, Group participation allows companies to increase efficiency in corporate operation, as well as devise general strategy formulations and site-specific situations.
Industrial Company participation also provides unique opportunities to dialogue and practice exchange with key government decision makers on natural resource damage and environmental liability issues in the US, EU and elsewhere. While involvement in Group meetings, conference calls and projects is encouraged, Group activities are organized so as to conserve company and professional staff time. Further, much of the Group’s business is undertaken via e-mail and conference calls and remote participation in meetings is frequently available.
